Some relatives rented a house on Longboat Key. We went to visit them for Mother's Day. Here's how that adventure went. We had a reservation for 11 AM. The place was not very crowded, which was very shocking on Mother's Day. We were seated outside. Some of the tables have umbrellas. Some do not. Needless to say, part of our group was in the shade while some of us were in the sun. We kept the mothers in the shade, it was their day, after all. The chairs are rather rigid and devoid of any ergonomic shaping. So, they don't lend themselves to long-term occupation. This may be by design to keep folks from staying too long. The staff didn't seem all that enthusiastic about us being there. They were quick to fill water glasses but not so quick to take a drink order. Once we placed our order, a couple of the drinks came out and then a couple more and eventually the last drink made its way to the table. They dropped off some over-cooked biscuits and banana bread. The jams on the table were very good and made the biscuits worth eating. My wife was pretty happy with the apple pancake and omelette she ordered. However, her lyonnaise potatoes were deep fried rather than sauteed. Other than the onions, they were devoid of any seasoning. I had the fish tacos. They were underwhelming. They were small and only came with two. The fish was good, but I would have preferred some more seasoning. The cole slaw wasn't anything better than you'd get from the deli at the nearby Publix. For $19, I expected much better. My Aunt ordered the french toast, Harry's style. She was not happy with them. It was 6 little pieces of baguette with a small amount of raspberry sauces drizzled around them. She had ask for syrup and it took a while to show up. She said they seemed a bit under-done. My Uncle got the breakfast burrito. It looked promising at first. A large spinach tortilla covered in cheese and ranchero sauce. Upon opening it, he found that the scrambled eggs were pulverized to the point of just being small specs of egg amongst the other fillings. The filling was grey and not very appealing to the eyes. He indicated that it wasn't bad tasting, but not something he'd order again. Our last party member got a ruben with fries. She was very happy with it. It did look like a decent sandwich, although a little expensive. I had to flag down the server to get a refill on my drink. The others just made due with the glass of water once they had emptied their drinks. We were never asked how the meal was and they didn't even offer dessert. I think they just wanted the seats available for future patrons. There's not a lot of competition on the island, so they don't have to try too hard. It shows.

The catering team at Harry's is phenomenal!! We were given a fantastic tasting while visiting for our wedding planning and they won us over immediately! Jen was the shining star of our experience. She set up our tasting and sat with us for our dinner talking over details of our wedding. My fiance, now husband, said he had never met anyone so genuine and friendly as Jen. She immediately made us feel welcomed, cared for and listened to. She executed our personalized Mediterranean/Turkish menu just as we requested via email. The Harry's team made spectacular food and we chose them as mentioned immediately for our wedding reception caterer. Through the year as we planned our wedding event, Jen helped with questions about our venue, Powel Crosley Estate, because she has catered for events there multiple times. She was not only our point of contact for our caterer, but a source of information during our planning process because she was so knowledgeable and willing to share with me. She answered all of my emails and phone calls. Harry's catering department was very accessible. Jen also offered to accept some of my decor shipments close to our wedding date as our wedding was "destination" for us coming from chicago. Jen made it possible for me to arrive in Florida and have the many items i needed such as candles, goodies for welcome bags, etc to be there waiting for me. Without her, I would have had to cross my fingers that UPS/Fed ex would deliver the dates requested and we all know that is way too scary the week of your weddng. We found Harry's pricing very reasonable and as mentioned the quality of the food was amazing. Our guests commented that the menu we had created and Harry's had prepared was some of best food they had ever been served at a wedding. All items that were to be served warm/hot were warm/hot. That is a very important piece for me! We had a multicourse meal per our request and my only critique is that the dinner was expected to be 60-75 minutes per our previous conversations and ended up being 2 hours long. I know that the rate at which the guests eat affects this process, but I made a few requests while eating my dinner to please keep the courses coming at a quicker pace. For this timing reason I give Harry's a 4 out of 5, but if I was local I would give them every opportunity to allow me to give them a 5. I would hire them for catering events at my home and for business meetings! Harry's catering team was an absolute delight and an absolute gift for us to deal with for our wedding day:)

Harry's deli is the place to go for a great carry out selection if you want to stay home and shag it on LBK in the evening.

Love Harrys and have going here for many years. Had several lunch items which were outstanding. The German Apple pancake is not to be missed. My wife had the chopped seafood salad. outstanding... The red lentel hummas is the best I've ever had. Dont miss this brunch lunch place

Breakfast was good. The omelet is more like a frittata than an omelet. The build your own for $13 is very misleading, they charged me $15 because of the number of items I had. Service was ok, had to ask for more water and coffee more than once.

Sorry but just awful! Tried their sirloin and philly cheessteak- meat was VERY dry and tough. Crab cake was loaded with breading. Gazpacho bland. Wish it would have lived up to the good reviews. Overpriced too :-(

We had the pleasure of eating breakfast here. What a great little restaurant. Was a little pricey but not bad for the area. The service was fantastic, juice was freshly squeezed. Breakfast was filling!

Just had dinner there. 3 of the 4 of us ordered the pre-fixed dinner (each ordering different selections) and all of us raved at the quality of the food. My wife and I each had a brandy manhattan before dinner and they were better than I make at home which I thought was near perfection. It was as close to a perfect nite as I can recall in a long time. We will be back for sure. Highly recommended based on our first time there experience.

Very good food. Ambience is somewhat romantic but a bit cramped. Service is solid. Prices are pricier then they should be.

I was happy to find this restaurant and the deli across the street when visiting family last month. The courtyard is more casual and relaxed than the more formal (still inviting and comfortable) dining room. I could tell many locals and frequent diners were there. That's always a good sign! I visited at lunch time and enjoyed a 'fire and ice' salad which had spicy grilled shrimp on top of a bed of greens. Crisp cucumbers and sweet watermelon helped balance the spicy heat from the shrimp. A ponzu sauce tossed on the greens made this a unique treat. Highly recommend this - though it was a special that day. Not sure if it appears on the menu otherwise. I had to try to crabcake (i'm super particular about my crabcakes!) and was pleased. Unique spices and full of crab - not filling. Next time I'm trying their 'famous bloody mary' which was suggested. Across the street is their deli / take out store. Knowing I was visiting family, I figured I should bring back some snacks for lunch the next day and maybe a side item for a dinner. I chose a corn salsa which wasn't my fave, but my sister loved it. I'm a soup fan - I had a broccoli soup and that was amazing! The shrimp bisque was wonderful too. Looking forward to going back for the holidays. I think Harry's would be a special place to come back to with the family for a memorable meal. The service was outstanding.

What has happened to Harry's? We have been having weekly Sunday brunch for years and it's no longer going to be our go to choice. Had reservations for a table for 2 in the shade. We sat in the sun for the entire meal! Manager promised to fix this ( several tables in the shade open) but didn't . The French Eggs Benedict ( special for that day) were flavorless, and the cheesy grits just had a couple specks of cheese thrown on them. The special cosmo for the day, They ran out of the flavored vodka. How do you run out of the flavored vodka for the Sunday cocktail, it's been on the Brunch menu since at least the end of Dec. And don't get me started on the lipstick on the rim! This place used to be wonderful, if not a little eratic, no water when you sat down, no biscuits when you set down, but the food quality seems to have slipped dramaticly. Find another place too go, there are so maany wonderful options on Longboat Key and beyond!

ok, here's the deal---if you are a tourist from somewhere else, this is a great place. they try hard, and the food is pretty good. if you are from sf, this is not acceptable.. bottm line -- ok., which is not easy to achieve in florida.
Stunning emphasis on presentation and taste. Just amazing. This is Longboat Keys' best kept secret. My osso buco was amazing with lots of flavor, and so did the snapper ("hogfish") and the braised short ribs. If you are looking for a high class restaurant and don't mind the higher prices, this is the place for you.

What a pleasant surprise to find great food and service and a wonderful wine list. Dinner was super, and a Sunday brunch a day later was even better. Worth a trip for sure. (Think Apple Pancakes!)

As a 'Welcome to Florida' gift, my generous father sent Gabriel and I for a celebratory dinner at Harry's. What a wonderful treat it was! Great service, a romantic setting, excellent food and a truly special place that we probably wouldn't have come across on our own. As a favorite of my father's, he wanted to make sure we got a chance to try it. By sending us there as a gift, he ensured that we'd be able to see what was so lovely about the experience. When we arrived, we were asked where we wanted to sit. We chose the corner table outside, surrounded by lit-up palm trees and flowers. It is such a cute restaurant, as you can see in the pic of Gabriel. It has a casual feel outside, and the inside room is a bit more formal. This is a combo I really love. A super casual and low-key atmosphere but with a high-end, fancy menu. This is the perfect juxtaposition for someone new to the Florida lifestyle...Someone who is really not missing the 'suit and tie' necessity of a NYC restaurant with a similar menu. Our waitress was excellent right from the start. She went over the specials and brought out water and some warm bread served with butter and roasted garlic cloves (YUM). The menu made for a difficult decision. Just about everything on it appealed to me and I kept changing my mind about what to order. In the end, I decided to take my father's recommendation which was to have the caesar salad and the duck. Duck is not normally something I order, but given his very strong feelings about it, I thought it was a great opportunity to branch out from the foods I generally gravitate towards. The salad came out quickly. It wasn't the lettuce, parmesan and croutons simplicity of a typical caeser and instead was enhanced with wonderful with ripe tomatoes, anchovies and crumbled blue cheese. The caesar dressing was perfect and I was very happy with this as my appetizer. It also went beautifully with my glass of Pinot Grigio. Gabriel had the macadamia-crusted scallops in a citrus sauce, which I happily had a taste of. I thought the crust and sauce were both awesome- as did Gabriel who ended up using the leftover bread to sop up the sauce after the scallops were gone. The scallops, however, were a bit overcooked. They were tougher and drier than they should have been. That said, they were full of flavor and tasted quite good anyway. Our entrees came out and looked incredible. My duck had a super crisp and crunchy skin and the tender meat was rich and succulent. It came in a maple/berry sauce that complimented it perfectly and I polished it off. I guess I love duck now, at least the way they prepare it here. It came with a side of squash and zucchini that lighted it up a bit. The vegetables were simply steamed and I thought they went very nicely with the duck meat without competing at all with the flavor. It also came with a side of wild rice that seemed to be undercooked. It had some very crunchy pieces that were so hard I thought I might chip a tooth on it. I liked the flavor of it very much, but the under-doneness of it was rather off-putting. Gabriel ordered the pasta with grouper, shrimp and scallops, and the seafood on it was all amazing. The perfectly cooked scallops clarified that the scallops we'd had earlier were definitely overcooked because these were tender, moist and so full of delicate flavor. The shrimp were enormous and tasted wonderful in the light sauce. The grouper was also cooked just right, tender, flakey and light. The pasta itself was cooked more than I like it- I strongly prefer my pasta al dente and this was kind of on the mushy side. That said, the highlight of the dish was clearly the seafood and the plentiful amount of pasta was almost unnecessary. For dessert, I ordered the key lime pie with meringue topping. It was plated beautifully and tasted SO delicious after my heavy meal. The thick meringue topping was fluffy and light with it's wonderful crisp top. The filling was limey, springy and bright and just sweet enough. I gobbled it up and was left feeling incredible satisfied with the whole meal. The service was really exquisite. Our waitress checked on us just enough without being overbearing. She made sure we had topped off water glasses and were happy with everything we were served. The maitre d' also came by to check on us and we felt like we were treated with respect and courtesy, and that they really cared about how we were enjoying our evening. I would strongly recommend Harry's to anyone looking for a special evening out. I would love to return for brunch or lunch someday since there was so much on the menu that sounded awesome. Since it's a bit out of my normal budget, it was really such a great gift from my father and I thank him, as well as the staff at Harry's, for such a warm welcome to Florida.

I went to Harry's for breakfast for the first time and I will definitely be back. The servers were extremely friendly and their food was very good. I enjoyed my coffee with their complimentary mini biscuits and zucchini bead which was a nice surprise. Their croissants are really fresh with many choices of jam (and peanut butter upon request), and their egg croissant sandwich tasted excellent with their seasoned potatoes. Lastly, their carrot cake was exceptional also (celebrated a birthday). The great service, great tasting food, and nice location (over 30 years we were told) on Longboat Key make Harry's must try. We will be back!

Love this spot! Always a pleasure to dine in and see the owner and his son watching over the place. The deli across the street has great to-go options also. My favorite brunch location. Breakfast: try the German apple pancakes, eggs benedict, and breakfast potatoes. Lunch: Chicken salad croissant Dinner: macadamia but crusted salmon, filet mignon, or shrimp scargot Dessert: Banana cream pie is THE BEST. Deli picks: red lentil hummus and corn and feta salad

My husband and I stopped here for lunch while exploring the gulf coast of Florida. We had the coconut shrimp appetizer and the fish tacos with corn salad and pineapple coleslaw! It was awesome! It was expensive but well worth it. The waitress and all of the staff were very nice! Longboat key and Harry's are a wining combination.

Our first visit to Harry's Continental left a lot to be desired. Our party of 4 had reservations and arrived promptly. We entered the miniscule waiting area, as servers bobbed and weaved around us. We asked for inside seating & there were MANY empty tables. Another party came in behind us and was immediately seated. We were seated in a very small booth and decided that it was too tight so we asked to sit outside. We waited for appx 5 minutes with none of the 6 employees EVER acknowledging us, so we sat ourselves. The food was fine but my husband found the portions small, and ate a sandwich when we got home (very unusual for him) Maybe we just caught the staff on a bad night, but with so many places to choose from, I know my husband won't give them a second chance.

Over priced. Food ok. Wine pour skimpy. Cheap house wine and only a few sips for 8 bucks. Do yourself a favor go elsewhere.

Lots of mixed reviews here - I just wanted to vote on the "we had a amazing dinner" side. The recommended wine pairings were great - seafood perfectly done. A youngish, alert, eager-to-please, knowledgeable server. We had little kids and they did a good job taking care of us. Sounds from the reviews there are good and bad nights at Harry's - ours was good night. One more thing: A local tells me Harry's prices drop 40% out of season. So if it is not high-season, you may get no wait and cheaper prices.

One of my favorite restaurants. The menu is creative and tasteful. Seafood is fresh and the ambiance is old Florida charm. The staff are professional and knowledgable on good food and wine. A must see place and now a staple for the island.

I always end up at Harry's when I visit Longboat Key with my family because it is one of the nicer restaurants in the area. The food is always really tasty, though I was disappointed in their coconut cream pie. My family enjoys splurging on nice meals, but for me personally, I find the place a bit too pricey. But really can't complain about the food.... I especially like their garlic shrimp dish with polenta. And the servers are always super friendly.

Highly recommend. Have had brunch, lunch and dinner and have found Harry's to offer consistently great food combined with excellent service. Pricing is fair considering the island location and busy season.

We chose Harry's for our Thanksgiving dinner, based on the Yelp reviews, and a recommendation by the person who owns the cottage we are currently renting on Longboat Key. What a disappointment. I must say that the only reason Harry's isn't getting 2 stars from me is because our appetizers were phenomenal. The awesomeness ends there. We had 5pm reservations, arrived on time, but waited 35 minutes to be seated. Not good, but we weren't in a hurry so it wasn't a huge deal. We sat at the bar and ordered a couple of drinks while waiting. Service at the bar was a bit odd as well. After my bellini was made, it just sat there. My husband ordered an orange martini and was served his drink. So, I ended up reaching across and just taking my drink. Weird. (Yes, I paid for it with my meal.) Let's skip to the food and the table service -- Shrimp-cargot appetizer -- INCREDIBLY delicious! Mandarin orange risotto appetizer -- BEYOND GOOD! If our evening had ended after those appetizers, I would have said it was one of the best meals I've had in a really long time. However, my entree was the Seafood Cobb, which arrived with olives even though I asked for none. It was served with a dill dressing that was a cream tartar-like sauce in a little dish. Not good at all. In fact, it was disgusting. Our server asked if I'd like pepper on my salad, and I said, "Yes, please." He then left, cleared off a table, went to the kitchen, delivered another table their food, and then returned to our table to see me picking off all of the olives I didn't want, and acknowledging that he forgot my pepper. My husband ordered the Seafood Pescatore and he liked it -- the portion was big and the seafood was cooked just right. We saw Harry's son (who was managing this evening) walking from table to table asking patrons how their meals were and wishing people a Happy Thanksgiving. He skipped our table. Bummer, as I was all smiles despite the above and would have enjoyed a greeting. Would we return? Probably not. Was this poor service a result of the restaurant overbooking for Thanksgiving? I don't know. I gather they may always be this unorganized. There are just too many other good options on Longboat Key. Try Euphemia Haye for the same prices, right down the street. That's where we'll go next time around.

My friends and I went to Harry's for dinner last week, and it was amazing! We were literally fighting over who had the best dinner, my friend had the filet with gorgonzola and I had the fish special with coconut. The host Darmo was amazing both before, during and after our evening there. Loved it! Don't miss this spot!

Super fresh, sirloin sandwich w feta, onions and other toppings on French bread was great! The pancakes are crepe like, huge, super tasty. Even the coleslaw was fresh and special. Definitely will be back to try more. Pricey, but worth a try to see if you get something you enjoy. Look past the convenience store w the same name, I originally thought that was the restaurant being advertised, they need to change the name of the store.

What a really disappointing evening. I had high hopes when I was in Long Boat visiting friends who were vacationing from Michigan. I looked at their menu ahead of time and thought it looked great. When we arrived we had reservations but had to wait over 20+ minutes anyways. We were in the door/in front of the register which was awkward because servers were trying to get around us but we had no place to go. We were finally seated and our server came over to us and we ordered our drinks. I stuck with wine which was easy and you can't go wrong. My friend ordered a rum drink and after she took one sip, she didn't complain but I could tell it was bad. I eventually asked her and she offered me a sip. Very syrupy and processed fruit juices. Pretty gross. We were starving so we ordered appetizers to start. We ordered escargot which was sitting in TONS of oil. So overkill. We also ordered a Spanish Tapas which was anything except Spanish. We also ordered a crispy volcano roll and I was so taken aback at what came out. It was like a cold volcano and really bad sushi style. Nothing crispy about it and so not tasty. Half of it stayed on the plate. By this time, we ordered dinner. I was so not interested at this point but I ordered an appetizer as my dinner. I ordered scallops. They were supposed to be Diver Scallops which are plump and nice size. What came out were overcooked, HARD scallops. You could throw them at the wall and it would dent it. That bad. Oh and 3 TINY scallops were on a large plate. So ridiculous. The others had: fish dishes which were "ok" and the filet. I was told the filet was good and it was big. As a Floridian who enjoys good food and fresh seafood options, I couldn't believe this place is open. Our meal for 4 with drinks and dessert was $265 before tip. For the crappy service and disgusting food, I expect for more for $300. My recommendation: AVOID, AVOID, AVOID!

Harry's Continental Kitchens has been on Longboat Key for over 30 years and I can see why. Truly fresh ingredients created with such care and love. Family owned are always tops on the list to hit and you won't be disappointed. I recommend ordering the Harwood steak or the fresh fish of the day that more than likely was caught what seems to be only a few hours prior straight from local waters. I am a sucker for sweeties and Harry's has an in-house pastry chef making some of the most delicious treats from scratch. If they have their coconut cream pie... you must order it.

Granola fruit n yogurt, cheeseburger sliders, seafood Cobb, chicken curried salad pita, and a vast array of breakfast options make this place a simple yet elegant stop for brunch. (I included a picture). Not much to be said about this place other than it's great menu for breakfast and lunch!

Where has the customer service gone? I am a local to Longboat Key and have the pleasure of dining in some phenomenal restaurants that the area has to offer however was disappointed and embarrassed for the treatment I received at Harry's. We had eight friends and family dining with us and as our meals came out two of our steaks were overdone. The two of us addressed our issue and asked for our steaks to be redone, not an unreasonable request. The second time around both came out raw in the middle and at this point the rest of our group was almost finished with their meals so I stated that I did not wish to have another steak. It should have ended there. I was polite, slightly annoyed but everyone else seemed ok. Not a few minutes pass and the manager approaches the table with yet another steak and precedes to argue with us regarding the temperature of meat. Again, I politely declined the steak. The manager then snidely thanks me for his dinner. Now I'm not so calm. I explain to our server that we would like to speak with the owner. During this encounter the couple from the next table over commented at how appalling the situation was being handled. Any intelligent person would assume that the owner would come to smooth things over but that would make a happy ending. Instead he defends his massacre of a steak stating that he himself tasted the steaks and in the light they looked fine and that he was a chef. Chef or no chef the steak was a chewy tasteless disaster. Storming away and in front of other patrons yelled to us that we were "special customers". Really? It's almost laughable that this so called chef and restauranteur is acting childlike. The steaks were comped but there was no effort to remedy the situation. Not one person inquired if the two of us would like to see a menu to order another entree, Harry stated we could have a dessert! Why thank you sir, a hot fudge sundae is really going to substitute for my meal. As the check arrived the arguments and inappropriate comments continued from the owner. The sad thing is that all of this could have been avoided if customer service existed at Harry's. Not only will our party of 8 not be returning but two tables surrounding us commented as they departed that they too will not be returning. Longboat Key and the surrounding Anna Maria Island and Sarasota area are flooded with outstanding restaurants including Patty Georges, just a stones throw down the road. As a local I am embarrassed for how Harry treated us because this is not how I want to be represented. I will forever remember Harry's.

The wife and I ate here tonight for her birthday dinner. She was very hapy so I was happy. We almost didn't eat here based on the fact the restaurant is in a pretty non descript building behind a convenience store. I'm glad we went in anyway. The inside is decorated very nicely. Kate was our server and she did a superb job. Based on what I saw everyone in here seemed to be busting their butts to make sure everyone had a great dining experience. My wife got the Tomato and Basil soup and this was excellent. The break they serve is also good. Her main entree were the Scallops which she said were too die for. I don't care for Scallops so I didn't try them. I got the Filet (Beef) in a Port-Wine (reduction) sauce and this was an excellent cut of meat. I used a knife but likely didn't need one. We had the Ice Cream with Rasberry sauce and Key Lime pie and both were excellent with the pie being very tart and home made at their bakery across the street. Like I said. My wife was pleased with this choice and I was as well. We ate at a couple other "nicer" looking restaurants this trip in Longboat and none come close to Harry's. Don't stop here if you're looking to eat on the cheap. There are some decent priced meals here but most are failry expensive. EDIT: Here is a better description of the steak I had and loved. "seared black angus center-cut tournedos, topped with dijon mustard and a port wine reduction"

Well one of those nights. Ordered Cobia and Veal dishes. Ordered wine by the glass. What came out was Cobia and another fish dish. Sent back the errant fish only to return 10 minutes later with under-cooked veal. Sent back a 2nd time. Cobia not bad. Veal, when it finally arrived was just okay. Wine pour was less than I've normally received from other restaurants. Won't go back.

The others just made due with the glass of water once they had emptied their drinks. We were never asked how the meal was and they didn't even offer dessert. I think they just wanted the seats available for future patrons. There's not a lot of competition on the island, so they don't have to try too hard. It shows.

Another fine dining experience on a quiet Sunday summer evening. Good food good drink good atmosphere good staff. A very nice place for dinner.

(1)Gary F.
ok, here's the deal---if you are a tourist from somewhere else, this is a great place. they try hard, and the food is pretty good. if you are from sf, this is not acceptable.. bottm line -- ok., which is not easy to achieve in florida.

When husband and I stopped at Harry's Corner Store, we were after liquor. The Corner Store only sells beer and wine, but the delightful counterman informed us that Harry's Continental Kitchens -- the restaurant behind the store -- sold bottles of liquor. So off we went. We scored the liquor we were looking for (at an inflated price, naturally), but while we were there we noticed the dining room looked lovely, as did the menu. We vowed to come back for dinner, and we did. That evening. We had no idea Harry's was there and assumed it was new...but when we called Gramma later to let her know where we'd dined, she informed us she'd taken guests there for the 30+ years she'd been wintering on Longboat. Oh. Happiest stumbled-on discovery of the trip. The food at Harry's is surprisingly excellent, well-prepared, and fabulously fresh. We started with some cool, refreshing pomegranate martinis while we read over the menu. I noticed they have a *ridiculously* affordable prix fixe menu: $25 for app, entrée, and dessert; $35 for two wine-pairings. I ordered the prix fixe with wine-pairing, starting with Sea Scallop Ceviche. Three petite, flash-fried corn tortillas arrived heaped with citrus-cooked scallop, mango, jalapeño, and red onion salsa, and creamy avocado mousse. It was accompanied by a dry, citrusy Voltea Garnache Rosé from Spain. Next came Gulf Shrimp Fettuccine drenched in lobster cream sauce with caramelized onion, grilled corn, fresh tomato, and asparagus tips -- paired with a Sonoma Valley William Hill Chardonnay. Finished up with a most impressive Key Lime Meringue pie, perfectly tart and puckery with a light-as-air meringue and blackberries. I added a Port for only $4. Meanwhile, husband (sharing my app and my dessert) was working on the best Florida grouper we ate during our entire trip. The hearty, steak-like grouper was pan-seared atop a gorgeously creamy "tropical" risotto with mango gastric. The two of us had to hold ourselves back from licking every last morsel and droplet off that plate. So, the food is exceptional (and they even have a gluten free menu). The wine list is mind-bogglingly large and good quality. Service was also excellent, Southern friendly but professional to match the upscale atmosphere. Speaking of atmosphere, Harry's is a higher-end, more-expensive, finer-dining option on the island. While you don't need formal wear, there wasn't a gentleman in the place without a collared shirt (we witnessed a party of beach bums roll in shortly after we did, wearing board shorts and tank tops -- while they were seated and attended to like any other patron, they got up and left within minutes). And while the décor is slightly outdated, typically pastel, and a bit frumpy, the ambiance is still quite nice. With price-points to match. You wouldn't eat here regularly, but it makes a fantastic splurge when you're in the area.

Had a spectacular dinner last night. Was able to split salad. Had the special pompano with crab sauce. The scallops were large and cooked just right. Great wine selection. Will certainly return

Wonderful experience with our wine dinner! Outstanding four course meal with expertly chosen wine pairings for $45!!! Deal! thanks Harry!

A GEM on Longboat Key. We had brunch and both loved the meal. Service was good. Inside, its very pretty. Very Likely to return.

(2)Andy S.
Over priced. Food ok. Wine pour skimpy. Cheap house wine and only a few sips for 8 bucks. Do yourself a favor go elsewhere.
(1)J. L.
(5)Brenton C.
One of my favorite restaurants. The menu is creative and tasteful. Seafood is fresh and the ambiance is old Florida charm. The staff are professional and knowledgable on good food and wine. A must see place and now a staple for the island.
(5)Candace R.
Love Harry's! We have been several times, usually for brunch, and have always enjoyed it.

(4)Mike G.

(5)J B.

(1)Dave H.
Overpriced. I had a dead fly in my salad, a hair on it and the worst tasting Mohito I ever had. Other than that Mrs Lincoln it was perfect. table outside next to parked SUV.. Ugh! Lots of better places fora $100 seafood dinner

I love Harry's and eat here every time I come to LBK. I highly recommend dining here if you are visiting Long Boat Key... The food is delicious, service is great and atmosphere is great too - you won't be disappointed!

(5)Susan F.

What has happened to the old " Harry's" that we loved so much for the last three years?does anybody know?the food has gone so far down. It's such a shame.this year, we have gone 3 times and have had 3 lousy meals. We went for 2 dinners and one breakfast.please correct it for next year.does anyone else feel that the food has gone downhill?9

(5)Bruce L.
